We are proud to announce an exciting new partnership between the JCC Jaguars of Great Neck and Lightning Basketball, focused on Super League competition and shared practice opportunities.

Lightning Basketball brings over 30 years of experience, having helped 600+ players advance to college basketball, while maintaining consistent leadership and an athlete-first philosophy.

Basketball operations are led by Coach Jim Fox, who brings 19 years of Division I coaching experience, eight NCAA Tournament appearances, and an Elite Eight run with Davidson College in 2008, where he coached Stephen Curry. Coach Fox continues to work with Curry annually at his elite high school camp.

Lightning Basketball currently fields 200+ teams nationwide, emphasizing both high-level competition and mid-level player development, with a strong focus on skill, confidence, and long-term growth. Oversight and structure are prioritized at every level, with Kevin Carpenter, Boys Director, bringing over a decade of varsity coaching and five years of Lightning leadership experience.

Jim Fox Sr., Founder of Lightning Basketball, shared the following statement:

“I am very happy to enter into a partnership with Rabbi Zevy Geisinsky and his outstanding JCC program of Great Neck. It is our intention to offer the best possible coaching to the young athletes affiliated with the JCC. We will share our coaches, our management expertise, and our resources with each and every player affiliated with the JCC of Great Neck. We look forward to a strong, long-term relationship with Rabbi Geisinsky and all of the players of the JCC of Great Neck.”

This partnership begins immediately, with tryouts taking place this Monday, led by Lightning Basketball representatives who will oversee evaluations and team selection.

We’re excited about what this collaboration means for the JCC Jaguars community and look forward to building something special together.
